𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 - Unique Correlations & Similarity Between FX & Stocks

The Australian dollar performance has been on consistent rise versus New Zealand dollar during 1-year period. Moreover, on April 24, it was at about 1.2160. During this period Altria Group, MO, in Consumer Staples Sector and in Tobacco Industry was rising 14% and was at $66.88 on April 24, 2026. AUD/NZD pair increased by about the same amount in 1-year period. 

AUD/NZD - AUD - Australia Dollar, NZD - New Zealand dollar
MO - Altria Group - Sector>Consumer Staples - Industry>Tobacco

While the movement is the same compared to 1-year performance, something is changing once again. For example, since start of the 2026 year, the Australian dollar increased by around 5% on the New Zealand dollar. At the same time, Altria Group with the symbol of MO had a much better 2026 over AUD/NZD as it rose by about 16% since the start of the year.

Nonetheless, the growth shows similar yearly percentage performance. AUD/NZD increased about 14% from a year ago and MO increased around 1%. Meantime, the AUD/NZD is still going up, while MO is dropping from highs. The next technical levels and moves are converging and trying to find the direction.
