We are in the season when snow occurs in many places. Did you know that snow can be blue 🔵 and even pink 🌸? Some facts about snow can definitely get some chills. Others are warm believe it or not and even tasty. Have you seen snow this year?

The snowflakes can be the size of 15 inches as big as milk pan. The average snowflake has 180 billion molecules of water. One of the impressive stories is that 20,000 people in Saskatoon, Canada participated in snowball throwing in 2016 in big way.


❄️ 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒆 ❄️

❄️ Snowflakes fall at average 3.1 miles per hour. Do you walk faster than that?
❄️ There is a pink snow, or watermelon 🍉 snow. It smells sweet according to some.

What is also fun, there is a hair freezing contest in Canada. However, more fascinating and beautiful is Northern Lights or sometimes called white nights. The famous Northern Lights of Finland is our next stop where our writing snowball takes us. Northern lights can be at 80 kilometers and higher in the sky. The green shape of the Northern lights is very common. One can stay in glass igloos and see the lights.

Interesting fact, that the first winter Olympics was held in French Alps in 1924.  More amazing fact is that the ski ballet was once part of the Olympics. In fact, these kinds of exercising related to snow from ice hockey o skiing ⛷️ makes Finland one of the healthiest countries. Exercising is a big part of routine there. Finland is rich not only in snow, but in ski resorts 🎿. There are some 75 of them. In addition, there are many winter vegetables one can have in many places in the world. 

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆

Finland has one of the 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒕 people. 😃 The economy has high GDP per capita. With a population of 5.5 million, the GDP per capita is about $48,461. Unlike other Scandinavian countries, which have their own currency, Finland uses euro. All Scandinavian countries have high economic number. Companies as Nokia are from Finland and some names in technology sector also associated with the country. Sectors as electric car batteries is something that is paid attention by some businesses in Finland. 

With the GDP data the official estimate that it will grow by 3% in 2021. The population of Finland is expected to drop to 5.3 million by 2100 according to estimates, but the immigration affects the numbers as well. The Eurostat forecast is of 4.7 million by the end of the century.
